Long Distance Transfer from Strasbourg: Paris, Lyon, Brussels by VTC

Do you need to rush to Paris for a crucial meeting? Do you have a plane to catch in Brussels or Zurich? Sometimes, the train or plane are not the ideal solutions: unexpected SNCF strikes, rigid schedules, risky connections or simply the desire to travel alone in peace.

VTC Strasbourg DMD is not limited to local trips. We are your trusted partner for all your long-distance trips from Alsace. Hop on in Strasbourg, get off in front of your hotel in Paris or Lyon. Without load breaks, without stress.

1. SNCF strike or cancelled train: Your immediate plan B

Nothing is more stressful than seeing your TGV displayed “Deleted” on the notice board when an important contract is being played out 500 km away.

In these critical moments, responsiveness is our strength.

  • Availability: With a simple call, we can mobilize a driver for an immediate or planned departure.
  • Reliability: A car does not strike. We take the highway and get you to your destination, no matter what.
  • Door-to-Door: The train leaves you at Gare de l’Est or Gare de Lyon, and you still need to take a taxi. We drop you off at the foot of your appointment.

2. The comfort of a private “Business Class”

Driving 4 or 5 hours can be scary. But on board our vehicles, time passes differently. Forget the discomfort of a crowded wagon or the phone conversations of the neighbor.

Our Sedans (Mercedes E-Class) and Vans (V-Class) are equipped for long-distance travel:

  • Mobile Office: Wi-Fi on board, tablets (on some models) and chargers. Work or video conference in complete confidentiality.
  • Relaxation: Comfortable leather seats, dual-zone climate control, bottled water and treats.
  • À la carte breaks: It’s up to you. Need to stretch your legs, have a coffee or smoke a cigarette? We stop by whenever you want.

3. Our frequent destinations from Strasbourg

We serve all of France and neighbouring countries. Here are the connections most requested by our business customers:

Strasbourg ↔ Paris (Approx. 4 hours 45 minutes)

The crucial link. Ideal when the TGVs are full or to transport confidential documents/fragile equipment that does not go in the hold.

Strasbourg ↔ Switzerland (Basel, Zurich, Geneva)

For bank appointments or transfers to Swiss international airports. We manage customs formalities for a smooth passage.

Strasbourg ↔ Brussels / Luxembourg

The connection with the European institutions. A direct motorway route very popular with parliamentarians and diplomats.

Strasbourg ↔ Germany (Frankfurt, Stuttgart, Munich)

Quick access to German economic hubs without the complications of Deutsche Bahn.

4. Long Distance Rates: How does it work?

For journeys of several hundred kilometres, the classic odometer (taxi) can hold very unpleasant surprises.

At VTC Strasbourg DMD, we operate on a sliding scale mileage package.

  • We calculate the exact price in advance (including tolls and fuel).
  • You will receive a firm quote by email or SMS.
  • Once validated, the price does not change, even if there are traffic jams on the Paris ring road.

FAQs: Long-Distance Trips

How far in advance should I book for a Strasbourg-Paris flight?

Ideally, you should book 24 to 48 hours in advance to guarantee the availability of the vehicle. However, in case of emergency (train cancellation), contact us by phone: if a driver is available, we leave within the hour.

Is the return included in the price?

The basic quote is for the one-way ticket. If you want the driver to wait for you on site (e.g. for a 2-hour meeting in Paris) and bring you back, we offer a very advantageous “Round Trip + Waiting” package.

Can we travel together to share the costs?

Yes! That’s the whole point. A trip from Strasbourg to Lyon in a VTC van divided by 5 or 6 colleagues is often cheaper than 6 last-minute train tickets, with the added convenience of door-to-door travel.
